These terms apply to every wedding business (“vendor,” “you”) that creates an account or listing on the Mississippi Wedding Collective (“MWC,” “we,” “us”) at mississippiweddingcollective.com. By creating an account, you agree to them.
1. Mississippi wedding vendors only
The Collective is a directory for wedding businesses based in Mississippi or that primarily serve Mississippi couples. When you sign up and when you submit a listing, you confirm that this is true for your business. We may decline or remove listings for businesses that do not meet this standard.
2. Your account
Keep your login details private and your contact information current. You are responsible for everything done with your account. One account per business, please; contact us if you manage more than one business.
3. Listings, review and removal
Every new listing and every change is reviewed before it is published. We may approve, edit for formatting, decline, unpublish or remove any listing or account at our discretion, including for inaccurate information, poor treatment of couples, offensive content, or businesses outside Mississippi. If we remove a paid listing for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of your current billing period.
4. Accurate, honest information
Your listing must describe a real business you own or are authorized to represent. Names, prices, services, photos and contact details must be accurate and kept up to date.
- No fake, paid-for or self-written reviews or testimonials, and no misleading claims about awards, licenses or experience.
- No impersonating another business or using another business’s name or photos.
- No spam, illegal content, or content that is hateful, harassing or sexually explicit.
5. Photos, video and content you upload
You must own, or have permission or a license to use, every photo, video, logo and piece of text you upload, and you must credit photographers where your agreement with them requires it. You keep ownership of your content. You give MWC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, resize and crop it on the site and on MWC’s social media and newsletters to promote your listing and the directory, for as long as your listing is active and for a reasonable time afterward for posts already published. 6. Plans, the Premier trial and billing
- Free listing: business name, category, town, one photo and a website link, at no cost.
- Paid plans: Basic ($29/month or $290/year), Featured ($59/month or $590/year) and Premier ($99/month or $990/year). Features are described on the Join page. Premier is limited to about 3 vendors per category per region.
- 3-month Premier trial: new vendors get Premier free for 3 months, with no card required to sign up. About 7 days before the trial ends we email you a reminder. If you choose a paid plan, billing begins when the trial ends. If you don’t, your listing automatically moves to the Free listing; it is not deleted.
- Founding vendors: the first 50 vendors to sign up get 25% off paid plans ($22, $44 or $74 per month) for as long as their subscription stays active without a gap, plus a Founding badge.
- Billing: paid plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled and are charged through our payment processor (Stripe). Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice by email; founding discounts stay in place as long as you remain subscribed.
- Cancellation: plans are month-to-month or yearly with no long-term contract. Cancel anytime; your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then moves to the Free listing.
- Refunds: we don’t give refunds or credits for partial months or unused time, except where required by law.
- No per-lead fees. We never charge you for inquiries or bookings.
7. What we do and don’t promise
We work hard to bring couples to the directory, but we don’t guarantee any number of views, inquiries or bookings. Features marked “coming soon” (such as the monthly report) may change. We may change, pause or improve features of the site. Social shoutouts, newsletter features and event priority are scheduled at our discretion.
8. Your dealings with couples
Any agreement, contract or payment between you and a couple is between the two of you. MWC is not a party to it and is not responsible for it. You are responsible for your own licenses, permits, insurance and taxes.
9. Limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, MWC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or lost business, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. You agree to indemnify MWC against claims arising from your listing content or your services to couples.
10. Transparency
MWC is run by Jim Burt, who also owns Alvastage Acres, a wedding venue listed in the directory. Alvastage Acres is listed under the same rules, plans and review process as every other vendor.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; we’ll post the new date at the top and email active vendors about important changes. Continuing to use your account means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Mississippi.
