The Mississippi Wedding Collective (“MWC,” “we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect on mississippiweddingcollective.com and what we do with it.
Information we collect
- Contact form: your name, email, phone (optional) and message, so we can reply.
- Vendor accounts: your name, business name, username, email and password (stored encrypted), and the listing details you add: business information, contact details, links, photos and video links. We also record when you agreed to our terms and your plan, trial dates and billing status.
- Payments: paid plans are processed by Stripe. We don’t see or store your full card number; Stripe handles it under its own privacy policy.
- Technical information: like most websites, our servers and hosting provider (Hostinger) log basic information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To run the directory and publish the vendor listings vendors ask us to publish.
- To reply to messages and help vendors with their accounts.
- To send account and service emails: welcome emails, password resets, listing approval notices, trial reminders and billing notices. Vendors can’t opt out of essential account emails while their account is open.
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
What’s public
Information a vendor puts in their listing (business name, town, photos, description, and on paid plans the phone, email and social links) is shown publicly on the site and may be shared on our social media to promote the listing. Account details such as your username, password and private email are never shown publicly.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep vendors logged in and to make forms work, and our hosting and caching tools may set cookies for performance and security. We don’t use advertising cookies. If we add analytics later, we’ll update this policy.
We don’t sell your data
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site (such as our hosting provider, email delivery and Stripe for payments), when required by law, or to protect our rights and users.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep account and listing information while your account is open. Vendors can update their listing anytime from their dashboard. To delete your account or listing, or to ask what information we hold about you, email us and we’ll take care of it, except for records we must keep for legal, tax or billing reasons.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning weddings and for wedding businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new date at the top of this page.
